Phone screening, hiring manager interview, then technical interview. Technical was with a Sr. Software Engineer.
The recruiter's email as well as the hiring manager both stated that the technical interview would not consist of abstract or "whiteboard coding" type questions, and instead would be more open ended with some pair programming on HackerRank.
During the technical the very first question was a whiteboard-type question (he actually said "I would usually ask this question in-person with a whiteboard, but we can try it out on zoom") about upgrading microservices with minimal downtime, specifically asking what commands I would run to do so.
