Me postulé en persona. El proceso tomó 6 días. Acudí a una entrevista en IHOP (San Antonio, TX) en feb 2020
Entrevista
Jesus Christ the things I could tell you about IHOP.
You're partly overworked or it is beyond dead. They twist around paychecks and make it look like that just because you earn certain number in tips they take that much out of your check and then save because you made that much that they don't have to pay the difference because you earn that much...
Also manager salary is BS because almost half the time the managers that aren't the gm are making less than the cooks or even some servers.
Because I was hired on as a server as well it also comes out of manager's salary..... Same if I go in as a cook or dishwasher. They take a certain tax out because I was hired on as a server.... Like.. tf???
The only pro is most are better than Denny's
Two interviews before offer. Met with manager then owner. Interview lasted about 30-45 mins. Typical interview. Asked about my experience, responsibilities I had while working. Went over what was expected of me.

What do you like the most about restaurant management?
It was professional. Hiring manager was professional. Yet it felt informal as well. Good experience...Chain restaurant. But good people. Pro would be that there's plenty of room to grow. But would need to relocate.
I was told they only hire within, but the job posting was public, didn't make any sense to me. With the qualifications that I have he offered a server position. He also kept cutting me off when asking me question, also did not make much eye contact, talked to me with his back turned to me. As we interviewed he was packing up before I even sat down to start my interview, Very Rude.
