Applied for the position and was invited to chat with the Farm Manager the next week. At the end of the call he invited me to come down for an in-person interview. That interview was pretty straightforward plus a tour of the facilities. Seemed to focus less on experience and more on motivation to learn about farming and hunger, which is great as this is an internship and that is what they are for.
Was called a week later with an acceptance and asked to come and meet with the Associate Director, which was made to sound like a formality to get the ball rolling. But it was another full-on interview! I had no idea he would be interviewing me and didn't come prepared, which was stressful. But it went well and I got another call from the farm director to confirm my being hired and talk about start dates etc.
Not a bad experience, just...weird.
