I applied online. Two weeks later I received an email asking me to subject myself to an awkward AI interview. The robot asked me many repetitive questions where I found myself thinking “I already answered this question.” I ended that interview thinking “nope - not for me” based on the impersonal start. Received a call from the recruiter two weeks later. She was lovely. She really sold the role, Humana and explained why they were interested in my background. After being initially turned off by the AI interview, my interest in the role was refreshed. Then I interviewed with the hiring manager two weeks later. She also was very friendly, voluntarily brought up the remaining steps in the interview process and even explained why she was interested in talking with me specifically. I exited that interview with a next step from them which never happened. An impersonal end to an impersonal start.
