There were 3 seperate interviews:
First - With a recruiter for basic screening, cultural fit, role fit. I left this conversation feeling very excited about the company and role. The recruiter had a smile that could be felt through the phone.
Second - I had a video interview with 2 product managers. I had to prepare a 5 min. presentation about a project I had worked on from concept through launch, they dove into questions about my process, line of thinking, ability to link to strategic initiatives, success metrics, etc. Then they walked me through an excersize where I was presented with a handful of projects with a brief explination and I needed to prioritize them. Finally ending with an open Q&A.
Third - a half day in-person interview at the Lincoln headquarters office. After an initial office tour (which is amazing). Meeting with various groups, Dev & QA, UX & Design, Product Managers, etc. Most of these meetings consisted of well thought out questions/scenarios and round-robin style interview. It presented a really good opportunity understand how things operate at Hudl, meet the team and get a feel for the culture. I ended the day with a mock user interview, with various team members and executives. Due to the 3 tier interview the process went on for about 6 weeks, given scheduling and availability.
Overall, while the process itself is rather intense, it's incredibly helpful to have this level of interaction with team members during the interview process to get a feel for the culture and how things operate. I enjoyed it and everyone I met made me feel like part of the team. The culture felt very real, the values they have defined are embedded into the every day lives of employees. Great benefits. Great product management organization and processes.
