I was very displeased with my interview experience at HostGator. After I arrived I walked up to the building and see a note on the door, “secure building, knock and wait 10 seconds to be let in”, so I knocked and no one ever answered. I waited a good ten minutes at the door when someone finally exited. I asked if I could be let in, and was. The exiting HG employee had some very strange social skills. I walk up to the desk inside and sign-in and sit down. Another 5 minutes pass before the elusive receptionist shows up and ask me to fill out a background check form. While I’m filling out the form the receptionist and an employee are childishly playing with each other and discussing personal dating matters. During my interview there were no personal or previous history questions. No gauge for potential. It is basically one page screener of simple questions. You either get a checkbox or an X depending on your answer. I maybe got 5 wrong. After the questions are over I am told that they are not hiring for day shift, only evening and graveyard. I am only interested in day shift. Maybe that should be your first question instead of wasting my time.
