Ghosted after the interview with hiring manager. I never heard back. It began with an application online. Then, a recruiter reached out. After speaking with the recruiter, we scheduled a call with the hiring manager.
3 virtual rounds of interviews. I felt that all three went well. Was told someone would be in touch within 3-4 days then was ghosted. Still never heard back a month later. For a company that touted its culture as respectful, inclusive, and very focused on employee culture and satisfaction, I was disappointed with the lack of communication I received. I gave hours of my valuable time with the company and interviewers and wasn’t even given a rejection email or letter. I am assuming they decided to move on with another candidate for their decision, but I will never be considering Hitachi North america for any open positions as I continue my search and recommend that others steer clear as well.
Future advice: learn to inform your candidates of rejection. I had several colleagues exploring your job listings that ultimately decided against applying because of your lack of communication with me.
