      Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Highfive (San Jose, CA) en jun 2019

      Entrevista

      Applied online. Received interview invitation. Download their video conference which is required for the interview. Tried out the software, always crashes when I quit. On interview date, open their software, the interviewer did not show up. Got re-scheduler the second time. The interviewer is a high level manager. He started introduce me about the company and tell why engineers should work for Highfive. He said all engineers will work at all levels of the software stack, an opportunity for grow !! I stopped him. I commented that the opportunity for grow should be working directly with CTO or architect where you can learn valuable skills not available anywhere. He did not have an answer and continue talking. Why? Should the interview be stopped? The only reason he did not stop because he was preparing to retaliate. Making me the worst engineer in the world. Very good. Today is already six months pass by, and I already forgot everything. Also through Glassdoor, I find out now that their software was available since February 2016, more than three years since I interviewed and they could not fix all the bugs. Also through Glassdoor, I just find out that their top 10% earners make lower than my full time offer in 2013 with Symantec ( also reported with Glassdoor ). No wonder they could not fix all the bugs in more than three years.

      Entrevista

      Recruiter contact me , schedule telephonic video interview. General idea about company and wanted to know about me and my experience. Code challenge. 2 days after email for on-site interview long process 12 to 5 pm Everything goes well, everyone is equally enthusiastic what they work on. Open for discussion. Giving good feedback. Except one interview , he was super pathetic guy, he ask me question and put his head into his laptop not even listening to me. I try to make him speak asked for clarification questions just to make communication but his answer was assume whatever you want to. After 30 mins I just put cap on marker and pull my chair and sit down. Then he realized , he asked me where is bottle neck in my solution I said everywhere if you assume. Then he said last 10 mins ask me anything you want I quickly replied nothing. He said are you sure? I said I assume all. Then he said next person will join in while and nice to meet you. I said I am not you ruined my half day leave. Be respectful and responsive in interview.
