Disorganized and impersonal interview process
I was initially contacted by a recruiter to provide my availability for an interview. After submitting my times, I didn’t hear anything for three days and had to follow up myself just to get it scheduled—which was the first red flag.
When the recruiter finally confirmed the interview, she sent the wrong phone number in the confirmation email. I double-checked to make sure I hadn’t made a mistake, but the error was on their end. I had to reach out again to correct it.
The interview itself felt rushed and impersonal. The interviewer briefly explained the company, asked three questions (tell me about yourself, a cross-functional example, and why I wanted the role), and then abruptly ended the call with, “We’ll get back to you within a week.” I wasn’t given the chance to ask questions or engage in a real conversation.
After spending time preparing and being genuinely interested in the mission of the company, I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and care shown throughout the process. It left a poor impression, and I hope the team improves their coordination and candidate experience in the future.
