Me postulé a través de una facultad o universidad. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Halliburton (Brighton, CO) en nov 2011

      Entrevista

Met with Halliburton representatives at campus career fair where I signed up for and got an initial interview. Went to information session to learn more about Product Service Lines (PSLs). Had 1 on 1 interview with a field engineer. Asked basic behavioral based questions. Come prepared with at least 2 questions (e.g. how do you handle the long hours, can you tell me more about a specific PSL, etc.) My interviewer liked to talk so he took about 20 minutes to answer my questions. As long as you show some interest and sound like you can handle the long hours and tough work environment, you have a good shot at a second interview. Flew me out to Brighton, CO for a second interview for the Rocky Mountain Region (CO, ND, WY, mainly). First day consisted of flying into Denver, catching shuttle to hotel, meeting up with the other recruits and lead engineers for a info session again about PSLs and benefits, etc. Afterwards, you are given the chance to ask questions. This is where they explicitly state that it is important to ask questions and that they will be constantly asking you to come up with questions for them. After the info session, we all went out for dinner at a nearby restaurant. Got back to the hotel around 9 since we were going to check out a wellsite early in the morning. Got up early, grabbed some Starbucks as a group, then headed to the nearby equipment yard/operations center. Got some safety equipment and headed out to a fracking operation about 25 minutes away (if you have steel-toed boots bring them, otherwise you have to wear these lame toe protectors). Took a tour around the site, looked at some big equipment, the control center, etc. Was pretty loud but try to pay attention because you may get quizzed at a later time. Again, ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS. You are basically evaluated on the number of questions you ask....it shows them you are interested in the job! Headed back to the equipment yard for a tour of the labs then off to lunch. Went quickly back to the yard for the "interview" portion of the trip. Since my flight was later in the day (~6pm) I was one of the last to go. The first few to go took about 25 minutes and said they were quizzed on some of the technology they previously went over, so make sure you paid attention when they were talking and be ready for some questions like that. My interview wasn't like that. It was only about 5 minutes and all they asked was what did i think of the job and if I was offered the job, would I likely take it. I think if they like you and you've seemed interested in the job, your interview will be quick and easy like mine since they have likely already decided to offer you a job. Received offer about 3 days after I returned. The engineers were all really friendly and easy to talk to. Just remember to ask questions!
