I withdrew from the interview process because HR were so incompetent. The interview process was cumbersome and inefficient. First, HR called me to arrange an telephone interview. Someone else was on the call on mute and was not introduced. This is disrespectful. The next step was a timed analysis exercise carried out at home. I waited at my computer for two hours on a Sunday for an e-mail that never came, in spite of chasing up HR and re-scheduling. Don't do HSBC - just walk away. If they can't get it together to organise an interview, what does that say about the rest of their operations?
