The first step is signing up to the HSBC online portal and then completing the application online. Some skills and situational awareness tests also needed. After you submit the application then you usually get an email message completing you to complete the online test.
After this if you are successful, then they call you for a phone interview.
After the phone interview I was invited to a face to face interview in branch, they asked standard competency based questions and I was asked to complete two tasks. one was a roleplay exercise, and another was where you were given tasks and you and to arrange them to fit a day.

Face to face interview, questions were okay to answer, was told I would hear back about next steps which would have been an online assessment against HSBC’s values but I never heard back from them.

Arranged an online interview within a week after submitting my application. I have been asked five questions and they are all all experience / situation base. Mostly around your experience in customer facing roles.

The interview process was fairly easy. I submitted an interview online then had a culture fit call, followed by an in person interview with a task and competency based questions.
