I was appearing for a "GM: Android Developer JAVA" role. Interview Process was that I went through some telephonic interviews. After almost 5 rounds of interviews, HR told me that I need to come to Bengaluru for a discussion that can not be done via Skype(I thought it might be specialized Interview).I asked her that company should bear the cost of transportation. Address was: Harman International India Pvt Ltd, 6th floor, Salarpuria Eminence, Kadabheesanhalli, Marathahalli Outer Ring Road, Bangalore – 560 037. HR said that company reimburse the cost of transportation after an employee is selected and they only call engineers who have very high probability of selection. So, she recommended me to come. So, I also decided to go and I bear the cost of transportation, hotels and Cabs. Interview was also very basic programming problems which could have easily been done on SKYPE. AFTER A VERY BASIC DISCUSSION ON PROGRAMMING BASICS FOR CLOSE TO ONE AND A HALF HOUR, INTERVIEWER TOLD ME THAT YOU ARE GOOD BUT YOU DONT HAVE A RELEVANT EXPERIENCE (MEDIA DOMAIN). After calling me to Bengaluru, and after 5 rounds of telephonic interviews, they found out that I did not had the relevant Experience. Anyhow I asked HR since it was not my mistake that they did not do any relevant area checks in 5 telephonic Interviews, THEY SHOULD RE-IMBURSE ME FOR THE EXPENSES I HAVE INCURRED ON THE TRIP. But the company is so cheap that they started ignoring the mails and never replies. This seems like another cheap company who does not have guts to beer expenses for Interview but are doing face-2-face rounds for intercity candidates. I will not recommend anybody to go for interview Process if they are travelling between cities. Such inexperienced and in-efficient recruitment teams can only cost you without benefitting anything.
