I went through one round of phone interviews and then a round of in-person interviews. I was then asked to complete a project that was very strategic and time intensive. I was a little surprised by the level of work they expected for this project, considering I am an interview candidate. I probably spent around 6 hours on the project and it had a 3 day turnaround. It was a lot of work and is a big ask for someone with a full time job who is also job hunting and interviewing at multiple companies simultaneously, but I was happy to do it and I thought my work was really fantastic. Friends who work in HR and Recruiting who reviewed my work agreed.
I was told I would receive feedback on my project within a week. Then I never heard anything. A week and a half after I turned it in I followed up. They then said they needed another week because they were moving offices. Finally after two weeks they got back to me. By "got back to me" I mean I received a generic "sorry we are moving forward with other candidates" email generated from their recruiting system. I received no feedback on the project I sent and am pretty shocked at their lack of responsiveness. Why have me rush to complete a project for them and turn it in in 3 days if it was going to take them 2 weeks to even look at it?! Also, if you are going to ask someone to complete so much work, the LEAST you can do is provide them feedback. I would never interview for this company again and wouldn't recommend it to friends.
