Standard going over career- asking about previous work, provisioning architecture, and services I built. I found it really frustrating that the recruiter had me go into great detail about the architecture I built for a specific service, then afterward asked if I was familiar with AWS. It seems that the technical recruiter had no technical skills at all. He was also hesitant because I didn't use Java on day-to-day, although I'm a polyglot programmer and use Java for smaller microservices. Overall, the technical recruiter seemed unprepared. At the end of the day, the base salary band was far below what I expected for this role and would require me to cut my current pay in half. Not worth the time.

1.5 hour session with target team, 30 minute sessions with several other staff in one on one settings. Coding exercise was rushed in 25 minutes that should have been 45+ minutes. Interviewers were late to the interview leading to me needing to repeat the same answers to questions several times. Interview conducted in a glass-walled room and the next round of interviewers waited outside the glass for 10+ minutes, obviously impatient, leading the current interviewer to rush me.
