Did a preliminary phone screening- girl was SUPER friendly and chatty. I would be friends with her, honestly. Very genuine. Got a call back the next day to schedule an in person. Was one of several interviewed in a span of 20 minutes.
The guy who interviewed me was very pompous and kept asking me about my opinion on the website- as if I were supposed to memorize it and regurgiate information from it on a test. It was very odd. I stumbled on the questions, as they were not typical interview questions. I was never asked about my strengths, weaknesses, interests, etc. I'm a recent graduate and have little experience, which is reflected on my resume and application. I was asked in depth questions about my "experience" in customer service. I have none... as is reflected in my lack of true job experience. Again, was then asked about the website and what I "liked most" about it. I said I enjoyed the pictures of the events done by Greaux as it showed a great mix of fun and professionalism. He then says "but yeah.. other than the pictures what stood out to you?" I'm assuming the man interviewing me designed or wrote the information on it. It seemed as if he wanted me to dote on the website. It didn't really make sense or seem pertinent to the interview. I was then asked where I saw myself in 5 years. I answered truthfully- "I want to see where my training and career opportunities take me.. I do not have a specific plan in mind, as this would be my first job that would lead into a career. It seems vague, but as a recent graduate I am simply not sure what to envision for my future. The only thing I can guarantee is that I will be living in New Orleans, my favorite city in the United States, and I will have another dog." He was not impressed as he just gave me a blank stare... similar to the one I got upon entering his office. It was just VERY awkward. I am a people person. I am genuine, open, and charming. This man was like a cold dead fish.
