Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Granicus (Boston, MA) en abr 2026
Entrevista
I was solicited to apply by a Granicus HR person via email. After going over the job description, I was sent their calendar to pick a day and time for the first interview. On that day that person called 10 minutes late. When I picked up the phone there was no one on the other end. Then 4 more calls right after form the same number and the same thing: No one there. So I tried to call back but it was a general "front desk" number. I tried every deptartment in their phone tree to get me to a live person and absolutely no one picked up phone in this company.- Not even in the sales department. A few minutes later I got an email from the HR person saying they treid to reach me but could not and asked if the phone number was correct. I replied that it was and that no one was on their end of the phone when I answered. I further explained that I tried to call her back but nobody picks up the phone at her company and aask her for a number that I could call her back on. That was the last I heard from her in that email. No reply. No offer to reschedule, Nothing! I figured this would not be a company I would want to work for if they treat you like this BEFORE you are an employee. Plus what company does not pick their sales line???

Initially talked with the recruiter who was very easy to talk with and then moved forward with the personality assessment and the IQ type test. I have 20 years experience in sales with local governments and have hundreds of connections. I did not move forward based off of the IQ type test. I am not sure if you fail automatically if you do not answer all the questions and are encouraged to guess. You are not allowed a calculator which is ridiculous. Some of the questions could have been answered in 3 seconds with a calculator vs 30 seconds or 1 minute to figure it out. I would not expect my employees to "guess" when figuring out numbers for a proposal, budgets, etc. I can see if these test results weigh in vs another candidate after going through the in person interview process. These tests tell nothing about my ability to SELL software, which I have successfully done for 20 plus years. Granicus missed out on this one. I did have reservations about this position because the focus is on enterprise accounts in local government with 100,000 plus population in about 6 states. Doing my research on the populations in each territory that leaves about 20-25 prospects. The recruiter also told me that another position does the renewal deals within the territories. The base on this was also low considering the amount of deals expected and size of municipalities working with. Base was around 90K with OTE of 180K This position should be paying around $120K base with OTE of 220-240K. This would have been more of a horizontal move so I did not lose out too much. They do have a great product as hear good feedback from my customer base of local government clients.
