I applied to Gong on Jan. 31, 2023 at 1:54pm PT. Austin King, an executive recruiter with Gong, contacted me via text on the same day at 6:57pm PT which was 9:57pm in his local time zone. I was super impressed with his agile response well outside his office hours. What impressed me even more was his quick action with a calendar invite for a screening call based on my availability followed by a 2nd email with some links to check out prior to our call. The resources in his email were VERY helpful to instantly understand and appreciate Gong. He showed up on the screening call on time, patiently walk me through the opportunity and expectations for the role, asked excellent questions and closed the call with a clear roadmap for the next step. I felt that he was invested in the process as much as I did. The whole experience got me even more interested in Gong. His professional demeanor, timely communication, quick follow ups, and kind and courteous approach exhibits Gong's culture and earned my respect for what is great look like in executive recruiter. Whether I get this job or not, I welcome the opportunity work with Austin in the future.

Unfortunatelly I joined the interview process late in the game. I learned quickly the company had been already working on this position for almost two months. However, my couple of days experience with Gong was really good, as I said to Austin King - Executive Recruiter, "I’m impressed how you (and Gong) addressed me and I applaud you for that, for the professionalism, tact, respect and care of your response. This speaks volumes of you and Gong.” Austin's is world class recruiting talent based on the level of attention, service and respect to people. He's definitively a big plus if you're lucky to have him assisting during the interview process. Although Austin helped me in the process and delivered the "not so good news" (translation: sorry, we already have our top 2 candidates....etc, etc, etc) in such a timely and professional way that instead of making me feel sad I ended up wanting even more so to work for Gong.
