You know, I've spent some time working in the so-called "developing world" where things can be chaotic, disorganised and mired in seemingly useless bureaucracy, but nothing I've experienced in the "third world" even comes close to the level of disorganisation I encountered at GoStudent. First of all, their initial communication comes off as haughty and arrogant, which is audacious since the company is run by people who are very inexperienced and who seem to have no background in education. While trying to sign up for the group interview, which is a bizarre concept all on it's own, I received countless confusing emails with incomplete or inaccurate information. These were followed up with emails that were saccharin sweet, which was a complete contrast to their form emails which were aggressive and rude. Then when I finally got the interview set up successfully, and was actually sitting in on a zoom call, we were told to leave because they had sent us the wrong link for the meeting. So you carve an hour out of your day, not including preparation, only to show up for a JOB INTERVIEW, and be told, and not politely mind you, that they've made a clerical error and will follow-up with an email for a different interview. An email which I still have not received by the way. I don't believe any truly professional teacher has time for this. I personally will not be pursuing any further business with this company. If you look at their job postings it is obvious that they are severely lacking a cohesive team to run their organisation. This one is a pass for me. It's like dealing with a really messy company with a personality disorder. No thanks.
