It is so unfortunate that it has become the norm to never respond to a candidate with the final answer.
I had 2 phone screens, a take home assignment and then a 3 hour long interview with the entire team. One would think that AT THE VERY LEAST, you would be emailed with the final answer. But sadly—no.
When the talent team can't send a simple "thank you for your time and effort, but you weren't chosen" note, it only shows their true character as well as the company's overall culture. I expected more from GoFundMe.

I applied online in May 2021 and heard back quickly. Had an initial screening and was told I’d hear back and seemed like a great fit. It took awhile, and the hiring manager was dealing with a loss at the time, but out of nowhere I was asked to have an impromptu, out of work hours interview with the manager that evening. It was very informal and rushed.
I never heard back and was ghosted, despite following up.
My first warning should have been the hiring manager having to work while grieving.
