It consisted of a phone interview followed by a day long process with multiple short one on one about thirty minute long interviews and a tour of the facility. I was out of state and they flew me there and out me up in a hotel

First, TA will call for initial suitability check. And if he/she feel satisfied with your background and suitability, then he/she will come back with schedule for interview with hiring manager. Sometimes interviews can be two technical interview with hiring manager and HOD.

Interview process was easy, but getting a start date was a cluster. Initially accepted, but declined when they froze hiring and when my start date was moved twice. I lost faith in their process after that.
