Steps: 1- Internal Recruiter call 2- HR call (slightly technical) 3- Take home assigment 4- Coding interview 5- Data science deep dive interview 6- VP Engineering interview Personal experience: I think the interview process was in handled well, and in general it was very smooth and pleasant. The team is great and it has always been very stimulating to speak to them. I also appreciated being able to work on real life scenarios, but there are two points that I found odd: first, they asked for a take home assignment but they did not discuss it in a follow up interview, not even mentioned once. This is something that was entirely new to me. Second, the Datascience deepdive interview was based on a real life situation the team was facing. On a theoretical level this was really nice, but in practice, the interview was not handled well in my opinion. I felt like I had to give extremely concrete answers to the real life situation they were facing, but that was really hard to do without knowing the context. They tried to explain it to me to a superficial extent, but clearly the interview time was not enough for it. Due to the lack of context, I tried to elaborate answers that could take into consideration different scenarios, but I was constantly interrupted by the interviewer when doing so. I felt this to be unprofessional. Final note: The flexibility they offer and the culture seems worth it, but the salary range seemed to below market average. During my initial call with the recruiter, I expressed my salary expectation to be greater than 90k (the interview was held in 2023 with wartime inflation level, and for a senior position). The recruiter was surprised, and said that they could only go to the lower range of my expectations, i.e 90k. This makes me think that they would consider this position to be paid in the range of 70 to 90k, with probably 80k as the average.
