Drove to Groton for 7:30am. Went to the employment office and was sent immediately to the visitor center for fingerprinting and a temporary badge. Went back to the employment center to wait for a tour of the shipyard. After the tour, which was pretty brief for security reasons, I was picked up and taken to the department for which I was interviewing. I had two 1:1 interviews each lasting 30-45 minutes. Questions focused on content in my resume and transcripts, hobbies, favorite classes/topics... pretty stress-free. After the second interview I went to lunch in the cafeteria with an Engineer II. I used this chance to ask questions of my own about his experience when he first joined EB. After lunch I went back to the employment office and filled out an interview evaluation form and left for the day. I got a call 3 business days later offering the position.

At a general hiring event, they paired me with different engineers hiring for their respective teams. The interviews were generally based on a review of my resume, and how I felt I would fit into their respective team. Your individual experience will vary based on the team you are placed to interview for, as well as whoever is interviewing you. One person asked me a bunch of brain teasers, another just generally asked about my opinions on certain tasks to gauge if I would enjoy working in their team.
