Genentech has the worst interview process I have witnessed in my career. I was left to my own devices for lunch, with a lunch box given to me in a windowless room. At the end of the interview, I was walked out of the door and told to wait for a taxi, which did not seem to be on the way. Unfamiliar with the area, I did not know what to do. The taxi finally arrived, which was a relief. It took about 2 months for the offer to arrive once they told me that they will be sending one. No verbal offer was made. For about 8 weeks I was wondering what the position and the salary were.
