I interviewed with several VPs separately over a number of days before meeting for the infamous panel interview with SEVERAL of their senior staff. While the panel was challenging --it was conducted like a real client meeting -- I found it very exhillerating. When you go for a job at Gartner, it's obviously because you want to work for the BEST so...you can't expect a 'cake walk' interview. When I got the offer, I was most pleased because I had never been through an interview of that nature, and yet I was prepared and apparently handled myself well in terms of my overall presentation and knowledge of the area in which they sought to hire me. Best advice: go in WELL prepared. If you try to skate the interview, you will be noticed (likely not in the way you want). I liked the collegial, team atmosphere that I experienced with all of the people I met through the interview process.
