Thank you for your feedback, though we’re very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your interview experience. Candidate care is a top-priority for us, which is why we welcome any and all questions throughout the application/interview process, either during informational phone calls to each applicant invited to in-person interviews, or through our regularly-monitored email account (jobs@galileo-learning.com). We also have a direct phone line, allowing applicants to speak directly to a member of our People Operations team — a great service to candidates and rare during an employment application process. Through these communication channels, we share tips on the best way to travel to our headquarters — a 15 walk from West Oakland BART, or a five minute drive or 15-20 minute walk from eateries in Jack London Square, and at which we have free parking.
We would like to directly address your statement regarding using candidate teaching samples for curriculum and/or possible video recording, which is not part of our practice and which would be morally wrong. We DO welcome applicants of all ages and experience levels, and create an in-person interview to loosely replicate a day at camp, with the intention of mutually assessing fit — if a candidate does not enjoy our in-person interview, s/he is not likely to enjoy being on our team.
