The Interview process was very lengthy. The online application form asked for a performance based assessment in the form of analyzing data and submitting several writing samples. Additionally a phone lesson was scheduled prior to the in person interview. During the phone interview, a "mock lesson" was to be delivered over the phone.

Begins with phone interview in which you teach a 5-7 minute sample lesson over the phone. This is to qualify for a candidate pool. At first I was intimidated but I quickly felt comfortable. The interviewer was very pleasant and non threatening. Then you can be contacted by specific schools for in person interviews. This is a panel interview that includes another sample lesson taught to the panel as if they're your students. Then it moves on to standard teacher interview questions. Overall the process is extensive but not scary-- everyone was very friendly and non-intimidating.
