Initial pre-screening interview was fairly standard relative to many others I have had. There was an explanation of the role and the expectations followed by a request to hear more about my background, skills, etc.

First was a screening call where the details of the position were discussed. That person didn't know much at all about the team so there wasn't a chance to ask many questions. Next was a 30 minute call with a high level employee, where they asked situational questions and I asked some basic questions about the team and the expectations of the position. Did not get the warm and fuzzies during that conversation and then they ghosted me. My advice for a small but growing company is to be more professional and do not ghost candidates if you don't want to proceed (a courtesy email goes a long way). Also, teach your recruiters more about the position so they can answer basic questions about the job and the team.
