Interview process was simple. Interviewed with a team leader, then if things went well another interview with another team leader took place. If that went well, another interview took place. Usually the interviews are spread out on different days, but my interviews took place the same day and I was hired on the spot. I was not given a tour of facilities; however after I started, other potential candidates were given a tour - and most did not come back again...for good reason. The position is touted as marketing - which is my field, but the job was sales and telemarketing (which is still not marketing, just selling over the phone). The leads consisted of names of people who had applied for refinancing loans at banks and this company purchases the names - so when the people are called, they have no idea of how the company received their information since they went to a bank or mortgage company. The position requires persuading people to use this company instead of the company to which they applied for a mortgage refinance with. It is never mentioned once in the interview. Most people during training, when they found out what the job actually was, did not come back.

I do not recall the most difficult questions - they perhaps included question about how do you deal with difficult situations. Other questions involved your ability to build relationships with people. I do recall the first question was the age old "Tell me about yourself"

I applied to this "Marketing Professional" position online. The position description didn't give much detail, but I figured it was worth checking out. About an hour after submitting my resume (no cover letter or anything), I got a call from an HR person at the company. She was very sweet, but within my first few minutes of talking to her, she'd already told me salary estimates, details about my potential contract, and places that I should look into living around the office. I asked for a better description of the position. This was NOT a marketing position. It was a sales position. Cold calling. When asked how this differed from their sales positions, she could not give me a straight answer.
