Strangest interview process of my life. First round was over the phone, second round over Skype, both very standard with a friendly recruiter. Final round they flew me out to DC, put my up in a nice hotel the night before. In the morning, along with 7 other men, we are shuttled to the office and start a full day of interviews. All behavioral and informational, in very casual settings. Throughout the day, they kept mentioning that there may be an event at the end of the day "if enough senior management were available to attend". Quite abruptly however, they started pulling people out of the office two at a time, and sending them to a different hotel, saying the event was cancelled. However, I went to school with another guy interviewing, and what really happened is they sent half of the people home, and proceeded to have the event with the other half who would be getting offered the job. On top of that, we were told not to schedule flights home that night due to the "event" and instead, they assigned us to share a hotel room with another person interviewing, AKA a complete stranger. Locker room culture and a fraternity behavior interview process, complete with a pyramid scheme stock option structure based on recruiting and not on performance.
