I applied back in January of 2014 by taking the departments entrance exam. and submitting an application packet. I waited for a month or so and was contacted for my polygraph exam. I passed it without a problem. I then went in for my oral interview. They asked a few situation based questions and basic "why do you want to work here type questions". The interview seemed like it went well but I received a rejection letter the day after. They would not disclose why I didn't get the job. It is my believe that they simply wanted someone who is from the county (good old boy system) and someone that was willing to work in the jail long term. I had military experience and a college degree. The whole process took like 4 months.
