The person who interviewed candidates was the direct boss for the interviewer. You begin by finding the position listed on the FSU job board (at the time it was through omni I believe). From there you're selected for an interview. You typically should interview as soon as you can for this position so the sooner you can make yourself available the better. Prior professional experience can help but it isn't necessary. Instead you should have SOME code to provide for her before or after the interview. You can bring it to the interview too but really it won't matter, just as long as it is YOUR code. My suggestion is to write a cover letter and think about what the boss wants to know. Basically why "this" position is what the boss wants to know. If you live in another town and you're applying you should say explain why (maybe you're going to attend school in Tallahassee or something) Also you'll need to be able to pass a background check that permits you to work around children because you may be required to work around children at some point during special events. Pay is not negotiable, whatever is listed on the job posting is what you'll get.
