I applied directly on their website. Around 10 days later, I scheduled a phone screening with a recruiter. He asked me the usual questions and then described the company. I believe it took the full 30 minutes. After that, I did not hear back from them until several weeks later. I received a call saying they wanted to schedule a video interview. If there wasn't a pandemic, if probably would've been in person. They might've mentioned the possibility of having to share my screen and code on an IDE but that didn't happen. The first part of the interview was talking to the people that I would be working with if I got selected. They pretty much just went down a list and asked me if I had experience with various tools/technologies/etc. If I did have experience, they asked what I used it for. I didn't have experience with most of them. Then, the conversation became more casual as they asked about what I like to do for fun. After that, they left the call and I spoke to a higher up. He also went down a list and asked me if I had experience with certain tools/technologies and then went into detail about the company. There were also some questions about my preferences in a job. He did at least 90% of the talking. At the end, he said that I seemed like a good candidate and that he would push for me but also that there were other candidates to interview. I believe I was the first one. The entire interview was scheduled for 1.5 hours but lasted just short of an hour. Overall, there were very few "real" interview questions. Most of it was just asking me what I had experience in. I got an email at least a few weeks later (on a Sunday, no less) saying I wasn't selected.
