Overall I had a great interview experience with Firefish, the best I've ever had when applying for a job actually! For my role as Software Developer there was 4 stages; 3 teams meetings and a technical test. After initially applying, the Head of Talent gave me a quick call to discuss my application/CV, discuss my previous experience and find out a bit more about me. We then discussed the role, the culture and Salary expectations. At the end of the first call, I was given a technical test to take away. The technical test at the time of me applying consisted of building a simple API to return data from a database and build a website to present the data from the API. I was able to do this in my own time and send this to Firefish once completed. The next stage involved a meeting with the Head of Product and the Build Team Lead to discuss the project, what went well, what could be improved and what else I would do if I had more time. We also discussed my previous experience and the role a bit more in-depth; what I would be working on, an average day, expectations etc. The final stage of the interview consisted of a meeting with Wendy, the CEO. This was more of a chat, going over my previous experience and Wendy asking some questions about my experience. Wendy also went told me a lot about Firefish, the culture here etc. Overall the experience was great. Everyone I spoke with along the way made the whole process feel less daunting than interviews sometimes can be. From the beginning I could tell the environment at Firefish was great and these interviews only solidified this opinion.
