When applying for a role with Firefish I entered into the clearest and most productive hiring process I’ve experienced. The job description was value, individual and team focused and the application itself is not too taxing but does allow you to make your mark from the off. I applied for the role and was contacted the next day which was great. HR would usually call but as Head of Happiness Vicki was off I spoke first to CEO Wendy who was so positive and friendly and managed to ask about my experience and skills in the most comfortable and conversational manner, I almost didn’t notice it was a pre-interview interview!
I then had an official interview with Wendy and Katie the Head of Marketing via zoom. Communication as to when and where to be online was great, we had to switch times around but we were able to accommodate each other’s need and schedules. I had
to complete a competency task in advance (not as hard as it sounds and very practical!) as part of the process but it was very clear and (if you have the skills!) not too difficult or demanding. The interview was a lot about what I can bring but also about what Firefish do and what the offer their employees (support, room to grow etc). When I accepted the offer HR whizzed me through everything I needed to know. As Firefish hire people who are ‘talented’ and fit the company, they were kind to accommodate my 6-week notice period. The process was so slick and clear and in the end quick.
