I applied for a job as a UK editor. The first step is a video call with one of the editors. It was very rushed and the interviewer came across as arrogant and rude. I asked how they and the company are, and their response was very abrupt, as if that is a stupid question to ask during a pandemic. The interviewer proceeded to fire questions and looked like they found the answers... funny? Very odd. They kept replying to messages during the interview. They asked me to speak about my experience because they didn’t have a clue what was on my CV as they had read hundreds, apparently. When the questions finished, the interviewer went to say bye, then they realised they hadn’t given me a chance to ask questions. Then when I finished, they said bye and stopped the call immediately, very abrupt. Probably the worst interview I have ever had. Not a positive experience or impression of the company and its culture.

The process took nearly two months; there were 11 rounds, which is an unreasonable ask for people in employment having to take time off to attend. Timewasting, unprofessional, and a generally unpleasant experiece. Interviewer seemed like he didn't have the time of day either.
