Typical process of recruiter call, then tech screen, and a few other rounds after that.
Documentation provided by recruiter and company was super helpful finding out what the company does and its technical stack. They seem to work with a lot of different service platforms, so that may be interesting to some developers looking to work with very modern systems.
Tech screen a typical-ish customized leetcode question. Interviewer seemed to be distracted by something else and was never really engaged in the process. Solved roughly 90% of the problem (there are multiple steps) in the allotted time, but once I blanked/stumbled for a few seconds, interviewer's demeanor seemed to change immediately. I'm fairly sure they planned to fail me at the first 2 minutes of the call even though code was concise and passed test cases.
No feedback, no nothing about the interview and just got the typical soulless rejection.

- screening engineer came off abrupt and not caring about the solution process. - Multiple times I explained a potential solution and why it might not be ideal so that I could then explain a followup solution that should work better, only for the engineer to interrupt me mid-explanation and complain about the solution that I was actively pointing out flaws in
- very short time for an extended problem set (30 min) providing no time for meaningful explanations
- engineer did not have tests sets ready for 2nd part even though it involves creating a class object, wasting my time on instantiating and creating test scenarios in an already limited time environment

Extend the first question by creating a class object that allows for iterative adding of ids to a dynamic array while also tracking the number of times a given id has flipped between even and odd occurrences

Entrevista
Applied online after doing a reference call with CTO, he said I should apply there if I was looking, so I did. Did a standard recruiter screening call and everything seemed really good, but recruiter emailed the next day saying they would not be continuing. After several follow up emails to find out the reason, the recruiter finally replied that they decision was made not to continue to next steps due to a mismatch in salary expectations. Based on the range provided in the application online I requested the low end, but they had more in mind 50k less than that. If they will blatantly lie that much in the job posting who knows what else is going on there.
