HORRIBLE RECRUITING TEAM WILL WASTE YOUR TIME!
I completed a home-take project involving fetching dog information. I spent a significant amount of time on it—far more than what was suggested in the documentation. It took almost two months to hear back from the recruiter via email. I tried following up multiple times but NEVER received any response.
Eventually, I had the opportunity to discuss the project with two frontend engineers. The discussion went well, and the engineers were nice and friendly. I felt I did very well and was looking forward to the next step. However, the Fetch recruiting team repeated their earlier behavior by remaining silent for another two weeks and ignoring my follow-up emails. Finally, I received a generic rejection email.
To summarize my experience, the hiring process is absolutely chaotic and disrespectful to the applicants. I never spoke to a single recruiter regarding the role, the team, the hiring process, the timeline, location, salary, expectations, etc. While the engineers were able to answer some of my questions general questions, I had zero insights into the role or the team—information that is typically provided by the NORMAL recruiter.
