The assessment day for FDM started with a 45-minute introduction to their scheme, elaborating upon some of the finer points of how it worked. For me, this notably included some critical information which made me question their scheme - e.g. exceptions to paying a full salary, and unnecessarily restrictive contract terms. We then sat a numerical abilities test, had 3 sub-5 minute interviews, and then some tough Venn-diagram and logical reasoning questions (and I mean tough). I came away feeling quite confused by the experience. I don't think the assessment day was badly organised, on the contrary it was very well formulated. However, I did come away feeling somewhat misled by the initial communications with the recruiter. To sum up, at the end of the experience I was surprised that the company seems to serve as an effective production line for producing graduate IT consultants, yet the selection process was based on some very simple face-to-face questions coupled by some ridiculously difficult logic questions. They gave the assessment candidates much more information than they had initially, and showed us their academy complex in the afternoon and the potential job opportunities, but I am afraid that my mind was made up before this.

The hiring process starts with a call from the recruiter asking if you are still looking for a job and are still keen on the opening at FDM Group, then you undergo two to three rounds of interviews.
