A recruiter for Evite contacted me and we set up a phone screener. She stood me up and then rescheduled. During the screener, we went over my skills and background. Shortly afterward, a code test interview was scheduled, for which I was advised to prepare by familiarizing myself with the interview tools. Two hours before the interview was to occur (and after which I had already spent some time preparing), it was cancelled. I'm guessing someone else reviewed my resume and something on there put them off. They wasted a lot of my time, but I guess, if nothing else, I'm glad I was spared the code interview if they were already certain. I only wish whoever made the decision had reviewed my resume earlier in the process and that the HR person hadn't stood me up. There were interviews here that hinted at such inconsistencies and I wish I had heeded them before letting my time be wasted.

Went through a technical screen over the phone that consisted of some typical toy problems. Moved on to an onsite interview where I chatted with most of the team for about 4-5 hours. They interviewed me in pairs and pretty much none of them were prepared at all for the interview. They all kept looking at each other, asking if the other one had any questions to ask and looking over my resume and saying "umm..." Overall, though, most of them seemed quite chill and cool, but the last two people I spoke with were just awful. No personalities and looked like they clearly didn't want to be there. Meh. Speaking with them was just awkward. Two weeks passed and I hadn't heard from them, so I decided to follow up with the recruiter. A few minutes later, I received an automated email (I know this because it said it was automated and that any replies I send wouldn't be read) from her telling me that they wouldn't be moving on with the process. Might have been nice to have received some sort of semi-thoughtful, non-automated response (or even any response at all, because they clearly wouldn't have sent one, had I not emailed first) after I drove 80 miles round trip and dedicated an entire day to that onsite. But I do understand that there are lots of companies out there that don't really care about being professional, polite, or courteous, so I get it.
