Before we even spoke, they asked for my salary requirement. I did a series of 3 Google Hangout Interviews with the two founders and a senior employee. The interviews were about 1 hour long, and I answered technical questions about half of the time. There rest of the time they were explaining the company to me. They seemed extremely interested and said I did very well. After the interviews, they asked me about salary again, and seemed shocked when I told them my requirement again. Over the next few weeks they didn't communicate with me until finally I reached out. They responded saying they were going to pursue other candidates. I feel like they could've saved us both some time by telling me that they couldn't meet my salary requirement from the beginning. My main point of contact throughout the whole process was very flaky.
