I was very pleased with the interview process. Process consisted of three phases: initial screening was held over skype, on-site panel interview giving a chance to do a presentation and HR screening answering all admin questions.

I applied through their website, and they reached out for an initial interview. Then, they reached out to do three interviews on the same day: a technical interview, a normal interview with the team, and a behavioral interview with the team leader and the project manager.

Friendly panel interview, discussed experience to date. Next part was a technical interview, all verbal, followed by an HR interview. EMBL-EBI is an intergovernmental organisation not following UK immigration, employment or taxation laws, this makes the whole hiring process a bit unusual
