After having four weeks of silence after my initial interview, I was emailed an offer for a second interview and it was scheduled for a week later. There was one interviewer from my first interview and two from a lab I would be working in. Everyone seemed to love my credentials, education and answers to questions. They were the same type of standard interview questions from the first interview such as "name a time when you faced a challenge" or "can you explain this technique on your resume in more detail?".
It has been 8 weeks since that interview and I have not received any indication of rejection or acceptance. I know at this point it is a rejection but it is unprofessional to string me along for this length of time and not even give me the courtesy of a response. Especially after emailing the interviewers two weeks later for an update and having them not respond.
