      Entrevista

      Etsy has a very long interview process that includes a phone screen with talent acquisition, a 45-minute video call with the hiring manager, a 45-minute video call with a senior manager, and a virtual onsite video call over 5 hours with 5 additional team members. All of the video calls were done using Google Meet. I was always kept up-to-date on my current status via my contact in talent acquisition. From my first phone screen to getting the news I wasn't chosen took 7 weeks, which was a bit longer than most other companies I've interviewed with. The negative part about this experience was not receiving any feedback on how I did or why I wasn't chosen. However, they do state this is their policy upfront so I wasn't surprised. It's difficult to put so much time and energy into the process only to get no value out of it or how you could improve. I also wasn't asked to provide any feedback. They use the SmartRecruiters tool for their communication. I understand they may want to protect their email from candidates they no longer want to communicate with, but when I compare to interviewing with other companies where I had team members emailing me and asking me if I had any questions after I interviewed with them or sending me additional info, it was quite the contrast. The interviewers were all very engaged and had excellent questions. Every interview I had felt more like a conversation to discuss how I think and operate than being drilled with question after question. I was also given ample time in each interview to ask questions, and everyone was open and honest about their experiences. Everyone was great at active listening, and my answers would often lead to more in-depth conversations on the situation. The TPM group seems like an excellent team and I'm sure they'll accomplish great things with the right candidate.
