The usual initial phone screen with an internal recruiter, followed by a 30-minute video call with an engineering manager, which included a short programming exercise on HackerRank. This was followed by a one-hour HackerRank exercise which included one SQL question and two data-manipulation questions; nothing related directly to web or mobile applications. The onsite interview included one hour working out some problems with a simple Python micro-framework and jQuery app, one hour with the hiring manager and product manager from the team, one hour whiteboarding a mobile app feature's architecture, and 45 minutes on a linked-list, time-complexity problem. No feedback was given, even upon request. Seems to me like Etsy's hiring process has evolved into just another cookie-cutter, soul-draining merry-go-round.
