Me postulé a través de una facultad o universidad. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Epic (Madison, WI) en nov 2011

      Entrevista

I spoke with an Epic representative at my university's career fair in late September. I was given instructions on how to complete the application, which I did by early October; a couple of days after that, I was invited to take a Rembrandt personality test. A week after I submitted it, I was emailed about setting up a phone interview, which would take place the following week. A week after that, I was asked to interview onsite. I interviewed onsite in mid-November. They payed for travel (from California to Madison), lodging, and food. I took a tour of Madison and had dinner with an employee and several other interviewees on Sunday night (which was pretty awkward- I consider myself to be a relatively social person and the other applicants were not very talkative at all), and spent all of Monday interviewing. My interviews consisted of a 10 minute presentation on a topic of my choice, a case-study that described issues that might arise in the IMplementation Consultant position, a one-on-one interview with my recruiter in HR, and a skills/intelligence test including math, reading, and coding (which I had NO experience in). A week later, I received the call with the offer. They gave me time to consider it, and I accepted. The Verona campus is really phenomenal, and everyone I met was very kind and welcoming. The company has a youthful, nerdy culture. I appreciated that the relaxed dress code also applied for applicants (they're not joking when they say you can wear jeans- I wore jeans, a nice top, a cardigan, and ballet flats). The impression that I get is that everyone works A LOT (more than 40 hours a week for sure), and 50% travel for Implementation Consultants may be a low estimate. However, the people that are there seem happy to be there, and if its not the right job for you, it doesn't seem like they hold it against people who leave before finishing their first year. I, myself, only plan on working there for 2-3 years before going back graduate school.

Glassdoor had very accurate description of the whole process. I did resume drop, did the online assessment, then got scheduled for a role introduction session where you listen to the person who currently has the job to describe what they do. Afterwards, there's the superday online where you will do a 10-min presentation on any topic you like and case study with peers, then behaviors. Overall a pretty smooth and enjoyable experience.

I sent in my application and received an email from HR two days later asking if I agreed on thee salary. First process is you get a role intro, then an assessment test which is like 4 hours. They heavily rely on your test scores and are confirming that you’re a relatively normal and capable person before they offer you the job.

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Epic en ago 2022

      Entrevista

I was contacted on LinkedIn by a person from epic who encouraged me to apply for project manager role, sent me a link, I’m guessing I was scouted because on my profile I was #openforwork And I had some EHR software implementation experience in healthcare in my work history. (About 6 months worth). I filled out the project manager application online, I scheduled a time to watch the role introduction (just a zoom live seminar with some info on the role) and take the assessments. I did send the recruiter Just a question before my assessments asking for how much the role paid, like a salary range even, he replied with a non-answer saying that it is different for every candidate and once they have more information on my background, we can talk about salary. That was kind of annoying, seeing as they were asking me to sign up for a 3 to 4 hour test for a role that I wasn’t even sure if it would be worth it, especially since moving to Wisconsin was part of the requirements. My last job was remote and I was mostly looking for remote roles. I studied a bit, looked up some logic questions or questions from the assessment (didn’t find much but a few practice questions online that folks said were from epic hiring tests) I took the assessment and I think I did pretty accurately but I used most of the available time, so speed was not something I felt I really competed on. After a few days I got an email saying that they were not going to move forward with me as a candidate. Seemed like a cool job but I was relieved honestly. It seems like a role for folks fresh out of college where you give your life to the company and they work you to the bone. I’m later in my life and career I don’t really have the energy for all that.

A man walks into a hardware store and asks the shopkeeper for the price of an item. “They’re $1 each” “Ok. Give me 600.” “That’ll be $3” What did he buy?
