Got an email from a recruiter whether I would be interest in either of the 2 roles, one being Tooling engineer and other being Product Design Engineer. I showed my interest in the product design role and submitted my resume and portfolio. Had a call with the recruiter to talk about my background and then got invited for an onsite interview. It seemed like nobody cared that they had invited someone for an interview as I had to wait for a while. I was given a tour of the facility followed by an interview with two people. I told them about my background but they didn't really ask many questions. To me it seemed either they were looking for a less experienced role or they had already hired someone.
