I had a very disappointing experience during the interview process. I was made to wait in the meeting bridge for over 15 minutes without any communication. Once the interview began, there was no introduction about the company, the panel members, or the role. It directly jumped into technical questions, which were of medium difficulty. I do acknowledge the panel had sound technical knowledge, but that alone doesn't make the experience positive.
What made the situation worse was the extremely unprofessional setup—one of the interviewers was sitting on the floor with loud background noise, making it very difficult to concentrate. I politely reiterated that the noise was distracting, but they continued without addressing it. I was the only one who had their video turned on and was sharing my screen, while none of the panel members did the same, which felt one-sided and made me uncomfortable.
Additionally, even before the screening, they asked for my Aadhaar card and a recent photo, which felt excessive given the lack of transparency from their side—not even showing their faces or properly introducing themselves.
To any HR or senior official reading this: please understand that such an environment not only affects candidate performance but also tarnishes the company's image. Even if I were to receive an offer, this experience has made me certain I wouldn't join. I hope serious improvements are made in how interviews are conducted.
