My CV was forwarded to the HR by one whom I knew in ERM. Then I was interviewed (on phone) by a Senior Consultant (SC) from the company who discussed my projects and research. After some discussion, the SC found that our background were not similar as I was not able to answer some of the questions. However, the SC told me that my profile is quite impressive and it would be better if someone from a similar background in the company interviews me. It lasted for approximately 30 minutes. The SC got me in touch with the person who had more similarities with my education and research background. I had another telephonic interview a day after. Most of the discussion revolved around my education and research projects. The interview process was very comfortable and I was frank during the whole process. In case I did not know something, I would directly state that if given time I would be able to recall my concepts. At the end of the interview the discussion shifted to general questions which were probably aimed to understand my values and principles. Again I tried my best to explore various angles related to different situations that I might encounter during my worklife. In total the interview lasted for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

They were friendly. Their questions were not too hard but you must have a smart brain to answer them in a quick and good way. I did not get this job because my qualifications were not aligned with their needs, I think.

The interview is divided into two parts, 1hr face-to-face individual interview and 1hr45mins written tests. During face-to-face individual interview, interviewer asked me for work experience in Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Monitoring & Audit in Hong Kong. For written test, it is divided in three parts, making comments on the most interesting part of the company's sustainability report at first, a test for calculation and reading abilities and lastly some analytical question on Environmental Monitoring & Audit in Hong Kong.
