Applied to on-line ad through a job board. They contacted me via e-mail for an interview within 7 to 10 days of application.
PART 1: Interviewed for approximately 45 minutes with two department supervisors then
PART 2: After this they phoned the department manager and he joined in and continued to interview me for an additional 25 minutes. Part 2 of the interview was pretty much repeating exactly what I had originally just stated in part 1 and for the most part was pretty useless.
Everyone that interviewed me was extremely pleasant and kind and friendly.
There were no written or verbal tests given to me. It was a 'question and answer' interview only. They explained a bit more about the company, the products and the general atmosphere at Dwyer, including:
Working hours (part-time) 8:00am to 4:30pm
Working days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Dress code: Business casual, no jeans, flip-flops, etc.
Pay: $12.00 to $13.00 per hour depending on experience.
(NOTE: If they had posted the hourly rate in their advert I would have saved them the time of interviewing me. This is a good, strong and growing company with a solid background and I have a hard time believing that they offer so little pay for any position. If companies don't advertise what they are paying I am going to assume from this point forward that they are ashamed of it getting out because they pay so little and I will not apply. I can't be the only one that despises this 'guess how much' policy that businesses are allowed to get away with.)
